Prior to the past couple months, I've never looked at anything except apache as a web server, except perhaps tux. But as a few hosting servers have been pretty hard hit by the users, I needed something lighter. ThaiLE.com had also reached its capacity with apache2. Finally, all these have forced me to take a serious look at something to replace or work alongside apache.. and I've found these two. Lighttpd (lighty) and Litespeed Web Server (lsws). In short, they work.
